Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles, Brian, and Joe are back in a full form for an extra long episode. Joe may have been on vacation, but he had a FANTASTIC couple of weeks in Pokémon GO; it included 3 non-event shinies and 4 legendary Pokémon! Not only did Joe have a great time in game, he also got some fantastic news; he’s getting a VIP media pass for GO Fest for Saturday. Theoretically, he will be able to attend both days of GO Fest now. Brian got himself a few Regice this past week, but he laments that his catch percentage is not great. Charles played the game… we think. Just kidding, he definitely played because he caught himself an Articuno live on air. Speaking of research boxes, we are getting Snorlax in those boxes next month which means #Snorlax4Charles might actually come true!
The gents discuss some of the friendship mechanics and the nerfed gift boxes. We really need increased bag space. The Silph Road has created an app, but it’s only available for Android users right now. Niantic is teasing us with some of their AR enhancements which look suspiciously like a Pokémon battle. Pokémon GO died like 2 years ago right? RIGHT?!? Nope! May 2018 saw the highest amount of active players since summer 2016, so Pokémon GO isn’t going away anytime soon.
