Are you ElecTRAkidding me, it’s already 2017?! Charles, Joe, Brian, are bringing you their final episode of 2016! We hope you all had a wonderful time with family, friends, Pokémon, and us. We’re counting down the final days of the Christmas event/sales and talking about the forthcoming New Year’s event details. Is the Apple watch interface any of that, does it come with chips? What does Pokémon GO need to add as we enter a new year? Have the heads of two of the three families come to an agreement to ensure that everyone may wet their beaks? Two of your hosts seem to be dealing with bad eggs. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback, emails, and comments!

We had a chance to sit down with our newest Patron, David Lam, who wanted to pass on some wisdom that he has gleaned from his experiences with the game.

“The new law of evolution in Pokémon GO seems to be survival of the unfittest. Well, in his book you either do it right or you get tranferred. In the last seven gyms that he’s battled, there were at least 35 trainers who have made a profit of 1200 Pokécoins. Thank you. He is not a destroyer of Pokégyms. He is a liberator of them!

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that transferring, or grinding — for lack of a better word — is good.

Grinding is right. Grinding works. Grinding clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Grinding, in all of its forms — grinding for space, for coins, for evolution, XP — has marked the upward surge of Trainers. And grinding — you mark my words — will not only save space in your bag, but that other malfunctioning feature called gym defense.
